Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing Christian Eriksen, according to the Express.

Eriksen is out of contract at the end of the season and has been heavily linked with Real Madrid in recent weeks.

The Dane is said to be stalling on a new deal with Spurs, leading to plenty of speculation about a possible transfer this summer.

Chelsea have already been mooted as a potential destination by the media in Spain this month, and it didn’t take long for one of the English newspapers to pick up on the rumour.

The Express claims Chelsea and Manchester United are ready to enter the race to sign Eriksen, although they could face competition from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Spanish reports suggest Real Madrid have ended their pursuit of the 26-year-old having turned their attentions to Chelsea contract rebel Eden Hazard.

It’s highly unlikely Tottenham will allow Eriksen to join one of their Premier League rivals – business between Spurs and Chelsea, especially, is a very rare occurrence.

Indeed, it’s more likely Eriksen will sign a new contract or be sold abroad.
