Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has joined AS Monaco on loan until the end of the season, Tottenham have confirmed.

Nkoudou has struggled for minutes ever since arriving at Spurs in the summer of 2016.

The Frenchman made an impact from the bench against Fulham in the Premier League earlier this month, providing the assist for Harry Winks’ winning goal at Craven Cottage.

He was subsequently handed a start against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup but failed to impress, missing a good opportunity to score.

The 23-year-old then missed out on a place in the squad altogether against Watford on Wednesday night with rumours suggesting he was on his way out.

And now, Spurs have confirmed Nkoudou has returned to his native France with Monaco on a loan deal until the end of the season.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the former Marseille winger leave Tottenham permanently in the summer, especially if things go well for him back in Ligue 1.

Spurs fans reacted mostly with humour and frustration on social media. Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter.
