Tottenham are likely to make a move for Norwich City starlet Max Aarons this summer, according to the Mirror.

Aarons has made 25 Championship appearances so far this season for promotion-pushing Norwich, scoring two goals and providing four assists from right-back.

And at just 19, the defender is apparently attracting interest from the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Mirror claims Tottenham have scouted Aarons a number of times and have been impressed with what they’ve seen.

They are expected to step up their interest in the teenager this summer, meaning he could become the club’s first signing since Lucas Moura in January last year.

Whether Spurs are in need of a new right-back is up for debate; they already have three, but there are issues with all of them.

Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier have both struggled for form this season, while Kyle Walker-Peters will surely choose to move on eventually if his game time doesn’t increase.

Aarons arrival would mean at least one of the current right-backs might have to leave – who would you like to see make an exit? Let us know in the comments section below.

  1. Aurier no question.. been a liability on and off the track and doesn’t seem to fit Poch’s style, although he did bring him in but I think he’s turned out to be a dud.
