Tottenham have made contact with the representatives of AC Milan star Franck Kessie over a possible summer move, according to reports in Italy.

Kessie is currently on loan at Milan from Atalanta, but Milan have an obligation to buy the midfielder in the coming summer transfer window.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claims Milan will sign Kessie for the agreed €20 million, but the Serie A giants will then be willing to sell the 22-year-old for €40 million, ensuring a huge profit for the club.

And the report goes on to reveal Spurs are keen to sign Kessie, with club representatives already having met his representatives for a initial talks over a potential transfer.

It’s unclear whether those talks went well or if Kessie would be interested in a move to Tottenham. Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keeping tabs on the Ivory Coast international.

Kessie has scored three goals and provided two assists in 21 league appearances for Milan so far this season.

Spurs are in need of a central midfielder after Mousa Demeble left for the Chinese Super League last month. Kessie surely won’t be their only target.
