Tottenham are interested in signing AC Milan star Suso this summer, according to the Mirror.
Suso has been linked with Spurs in recent summer transfer windows but it’s rarely been clear whether the Londoners hold a genuine interest in the former Liverpool playmaker.
The Mirror claims Tottenham are indeed keen on luring Suso to north London for next season.
The 25-year-old, who has scored six goals and provided eight assists in all competitions so far this term, has three years remaining on his current contract.
However, there is a £35 million release clause in his deal that Milan apparently want to get rid of, which suggests the Serie A giants may be considering offering Suso fresh terms.
Arsenal are also said to be fond of the Spaniard, but Spurs are said to be more likely to make a move.
Suso would provide a useful level of cover and competition for Christian Eriksen, although there is a chance the Dane’s future could be in up in the air this summer.
Eriksen is out of contract at the end of next season and is reportedly a target for Real Madrid.
Is Suso being eyed as back-up or a replacement? Tottenham fans will be hoping it’s the former.
