Tottenham are interested in signing Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer but face competition from Barcelona, Arsenal and West Ham United, according to reports in the Netherlands.

Onana, a former Barcelona academy product, has been the standout goalkeeper in the Eredivisie this season, conceding just 15 goals and keeping 14 clean sheets in 22 league appearances for Ajax.

Dutch outlet De Telegraaf claims Barcelona could attempt to re-sign Onana this summer, but the 22-year-old is apparently attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs – including Spurs.

It is believed Tottenham will enter a battle with Arsenal and West Ham to sign Onana, so the Cameroon international may have a big decision to make come the end of the season.

Regardless of whether Spurs sign him, Hugo Lloris is likely to remain first-choice between the sticks given his captaincy.

That may give Arsenal and West Ham an advantage as Tottenham’s London rivals will be more willing to offer Onana a guaranteed starting spot – he would also be second-choice behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen at Barcelona.
