Mauricio Pochettino is still targeting a move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Perisic was heavily linked with Manchester United last summer and was then the subject of an offer from Arsenal in the January transfer window.

A move failed to materialise, but not long after the window shut, reports emerged suggesting the Croatian would have been interested in joining Tottenham last month.

Italian outlet Tuttosport (via Sport Witness) claims Pochettino remains keen on Perisic as a potential summer target, although it’s unclear whether Spurs will definitely pursue the 30-year-old.

Perisic has scored just four goals in 22 Serie A appearances so far this season, but he has been a key part of helping Inter climb to third place in the table.

He would provide a useful option for Pochettino both out wide and through the middle as well as bringing experience to the Tottenham squad.

Talk of Pochettino considering summer targets suggests he isn’t thinking of taking over at Manchester United – it appears Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will almost certainly get the permanent job at Old Trafford.
