Harry Kane produced the defining moment as Tottenham secured a 1-0 victory at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, but Jan Vertonghen’s contribution after just 10 minutes may have been just as vital.
It was Kane who stuck the ball away five minutes into the second half, putting Spurs 5-0 up on aggregate and sealing a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
