Tottenham are interested in signing Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, according to the Sun.
Chiesa has scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season.
The 21-year-old’s form has seen him emerge as one of the most highly-rated young players in Italy in recent months.
And the Sun believes Mauricio Pochettino wants to make a move for Chiesa this summer in order to add some extra magic to his squad.
However, Spurs would apparently have to smash their transfer record to sign the young Italian, who is said to be valued at around £70 million.
The report suggests Serie A giants Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan are also keen on Chiesa, while Chelsea had been mooted as a possible destination before their transfer ban.
With Christian Eriksen’s future still up in the air – the Dane is out of contract at the end of next season – Tottenham might be in need of a new attacking midfielder this summer.
It will be interesting to see if Chiesa is a genuine target. At £70m it’s unlikely but if he wants to leave, Fiorentina may be forced to accept lower bids.
