Declan Rice has declared his admiration for Harry Kane with a pair of photos posted on Twitter.
The West Ham United midfielder made his full England debut as the Three Lions thrashed Montenegro 5-1 on Monday night.
Kane was on the scoresheet for the second successive game after also finding the net against the Czech Republic in a 5-0 victory at Wembley last week.
After the game, Rice took to Twitter to post two pictures representative of his rapid rise to international stardom.
The first was of himself and Kane from 2014 when Rice says he asked the Tottenham Hotspur star for a snap.
The second was of the pair together in the dressing room after Friday night’s win in Montenegro.
A caption read: “From asking Harry Kane for a picture in 2014, to my England teammate in 2019. What a journey!”

Rice replaced Eric Dier in the starting line-up after the Spurs midfielder limped off with an injury against the Czech Republic.
Dier will be worried about his regular place in the England staring XI following an impressive display from Rice.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Rice in the past, but West Ham are unlikely to do business with their London rivals.
