Paris Saint-Germain midfielder and reported Tottenham Hotspur target Adrien Rabiot may have already agreed to join Real Madrid this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Rabiot is currently being exiled at PSG after repeatedly turning down new contract offers from the Ligue 1 champions.

Spurs have been linked with the Frenchman on a number of occasions but there are suggestions Rabiot sees himself playing at a higher level than Tottenham’s.

He has also been mooted as a possible target for Barcelona, but the La Liga leaders will sign Ajax’s Frenkie de Jong this summer which could mean they have moved on from Rabiot.

Spanish outlet AS is now claiming the 23-year-old may have already signed an agreement with Real Madrid following Zinedine Zidane’s return to the club.

Madrid are expected to spend heavily this summer to back the manager who won three successive Champions League titles before his surprise departure.

If so, that will mark the end of Spurs’ Rabiot pursuit, which in truth never really looked like becoming a reality.

  1. Wonderful news.
Even our new stadium isn’t big enough to contain this kid’s ego.
Much better that he goes to Real Madrid.
Perhaps, dealing with other inflated egos, and time on the bench will help him to have a little more humility.
