Last month, we relayed reports claiming Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico.
The left-back, who is also said to be attracting interest from Arsenal, was in action for his club on Wednesday night in the Eredivisie.
Ajax thrashed Emmen 5-2 on the road, but the scoreline doesn’t tell the full story.
The moment of the match came when Tagliafico scored a bizarre own goal from outside the penalty area.
He attempted a pass-back to goalkeeper Andre Onana – another reported Spurs target – but put far too much pace on the ball. Watch below.
