Tottenham Hotspur only want to pay £25 million for Ryan Sessegnon but Fulham value the teenager at £40 million, according to the Daily Mail.

Earlier this week, we relayed reports claiming Fulham are resigned to losing Sessegnon this summer following their relegation to the Championship.

And the Cottagers apparently know they will not be able to demand the £50 million fee they were asking for last summer.

Sessegnon has just one year remaining on his current contract, but the Mail suggests Fulham still believe they can get £40 million for the 18-year-old.

However, Spurs only want to pay almost half that amount, which could prevent a deal from happening.

It’s understandable Tottenham are seeking a cut-price deal considering Sessegnon’s contract situation, but it looks like they will have a pay more than £25 million if they want their man this time around.

Sessegnon would be a useful addition to the Spurs squad because of his ability to play at left-back and further forward.

With that in mind, he’d be an ideal long-term replacement for Danny Rose.

  1. Fulham have had a terrible season back in the Premier League and unfortunately have gone straight back down again(I say unfortunately as they are liked by all supporters up and down the country).
12 months ago Sessegnon was being talked about as one of the hottest properties around Europe. He has had a terrible season and there must be a big ? against his name and his ability to make it in the top flight.£40M seems a lot at this stage and I believe they will be lucky to get 1/2 that amount if he leaves.
