Inter Milan are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier, according to reports in Italy.

Last week, we relayed a story suggesting Spurs are open to selling Aurier and Kieran Trippier this summer, which would leave the Londoners with just one senior right-back in Kyle Walker-Peters.

Aurier has struggled to cement a place in the team since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, while Trippier’s displays have been subpar this season.

And according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Inter are keeping tabs on Aurier ahead of a possible summer swoop.

It is believed Inter director of football Piero Ausilio was in stands during Tottenham’s 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Ausilio was apparently casting an eye over Aurier as Inter are considering bringing in a new right-back for next season.

Both of the squad’s current right-backs are only on loan at the San Siro, so Inter want to sign a player permanently to fill that gap in the squad this summer.

It will be interesting to see who Spurs pursue as a replacement if they do sell both Aurier and Trippier in the coming months.
