Tottenham Hotspur eased to a 4-0 victory over Huddersfield Town on Saturday lunchtime.
Victor Wanyama gave Spurs the lead before Lucas Moura’s spectacular hat-trick sealed the points.
Here’s how every Tottenham player rated on the day.
Hugo Lloris, 7 – Only have one save to make and did well considering the sun was in his eyes.
Juan Foyth, 6 – A couple of tetchy moments of his own making but mostly comfortable on the ball as usual.
Davinson Sanchez, 7 – Sat in the middle of the back three and dealt with almost everything he had to.
Jan Vertonghen, 6 – Got fairly far forward for a centre-back. A little sloppy in possession again but solid at the back.
Kyle Walker-Peters, 7 – Strengthened his case for more minutes next season with an impressive all-round performance.
Victor Wanyama, 8 – Took his goal well and was like a wall in midfield with nothing getting past him.
Moussa Sissoko, 8 – Excellent on the ball, leading the team’s transition from defence to attack with pace and purpose.
Ben Davies, 7 – Effectively played as a winger and joined the attack usefully whenever possible.
Christian Eriksen, 7 – Misplaced loads of passes but turned out to be Spurs’ creative force as he so often is. Excellent pass for Lucas’ second goal.
Lucas Moura, 10 – As close to perfect as it gets. Caused Huddersfield problems all day and took all of his goals brilliantly.
Fernando Llorente, 7 – Some good hold-up play and clever touches helped his teammates in the final third. Should have scored a couple, though.
Subs: Oliver Skipp N/A, Danny Rose N/A, Son Heung-min N/A.
Whst about Lorente?
Not that we need yet more evidence, but clearly there is no place for Lamela at the club, not even as a sub – forget injuries, anyone would be better than him. Got to go. Need to take a loss and shift him out.
