Tottenham Hotspur have been scouting Lazio defender Luiz Felipe, according to reports in Italy.
Felipe has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring one goal in Serie A.
Spurs have been heavily linked with Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen in recent months, but it is believed the Londoners are looking at Felipe as a cheaper alternative.
Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web claims the 22-year-old Brazilian could be available for around €20 million (approximately £17.3m) this summer.
Tottenham are likely to be in need of a new centre-back with Toby Alderweireld set to leave the club.
The Belgian recently extended his contract until the end of next season but also activated a £25 million release clause that can be triggered up until the final two weeks of the upcoming summer transfer window.
It is important Alderweireld is replaced with a high-quality defender, and Felipe’s lack of appearances suggest Spurs could do better.
Andersen is the more promising of the two potential arrivals and is said to be valued at €25 million (approximately £21.6m), which isn’t considerably more that Felipe’s price.
We should keep Alderweireld and add one or both of these to develop alonf with Sanchez and Foyth until Toby and Jan retire.
Andersen all the way. I would like to keep Toby just for another two years though.
Toby iraplacable jan don’t play aswell with out give him contact same money as best earners in the team deserves it .
