Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans this summer, according to the Mirror.
Tielemans is currently on loan at Leicester City, who he joined in the January transfer window.
The Belgian has impressed for the Foxes since arriving in England, scoring two goals and providing four assists in nine Premier League appearances to date.
And according to the Mirror, his performances have caught the eye of Spurs and Manchester United ahead of a possible summer return to the Premier League.
It is believed Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is pushing for the Foxes to tie up a deal for Tielemans as he fears there will be interest from elsewhere.
A fee of around £40 million is being mooted, which is a relatively low price in today’s market.
Tottenham are in need of a new central midfielder following Mousa Dembele’s January exit to China.
Moussa Sissoko’s injury against Manchester City on Wednesday left Mauricio Pochettino with just one fit senior central midfielder, Victor Wanyama, in the squad.
With that in mind, Tielemans would be a very useful addition.
