Tottenham Hotspur fell to their first ever defeat at the club’s new stadium on Saturday, losing 1-0 to West Ham United.

Michail Antonio’s second half goal was enough for the visitors on a disappointing day for Spurs.

Here’s how every Tottenham player rated on the day.

Hugo LLoris, 6 – Mostly comfortable. Could do little about the goal.

Juan Foyth, 5 – Too many misplaced passes. Great burst forward and cross for a late chance.

Davinson Sanchez, 6 – Thwarted a few West Ham counters with his pace.

Toby Alderweireld, 6 – Swept up effectively throughout. Beaten by a pass for the goal.

Ben Davies, 6 – A couple of promising bursts forward. Could have tried more crosses.

Eric Dier, 4 – Far too slow in starting attacks and his passing was wayward.

Christian Eriksen, 4 – Could have been more involved and his set-pieces were poor again.

Danny Rose, 5 – Better when he moved further left but lost the ball too often.

Dele Alli, 4 – Took too long to control the ball and was easily tackled countless times.

Lucas Moura, 5 – Threatened in the early stages. Arguably unfortunate to be the first player hooked.

Son Heung-min, 4 – Not much came off. Perhaps tried too hard because he won’t play against Ajax.

Substitutes

66 mins: Fernando Llorente, 3 – Abysmal and ineffective.

77 mins: Vincent Janssen, N/A – So unfortunate with a chance at the death. Better than Llorente.

85 mins: Victor Wanyama, N/A – A sloppy cameo.
