Tottenham Hotspur have received an offer from Napoli for Kieran Trippier, according to Sky Sports in Italy.
Trippier has been linked with a move to either Napoli or Manchester United by the Italian media in recent weeks.
And now, according to the country’s arm of Sky Sports, Napoli have put an offer of around €18-20 million on the table – it is believed Spurs are holding out for a bid closer to €35 million.
Despite there being quite a distance between the valuation of the two clubs, it is believed negotiations will continue.
However, the report claims Trippier is holding out for a move to Manchester United and would prefer to join the Red Devils over Napoli.
The right-back is from Manchester, and United would likely be able to offer him a better salary than both Tottenham and Napoli.
Trippier has endured an inconsistent season with Spurs after shining for England at last summer’s World Cup.
As such, United’s reported interest has come as a bit of a surprise – many Tottenham fans would be happy for the 28-year-old to leave.
