Real Madrid have offered Tottenham Hotspur the chance to sign Gareth Bale on loan, according to the Sun.

Bale left Spurs in the summer of 2013 but has been linked with a return to the Premier League a number of times since then.

Tottenham has been mooted as a potential destination on several occasions, as has Manchester United.

But Spurs’ qualification for Champions League ahead of United has apparently put the Londoners in pole position to re-sign Bale this summer.

The Sun claims Madrid have offered Tottenham the chance to take Bale on a season-long loan for the 2019/20 campaign.

It is believed Spurs will have to pay £250,000 a week of the Welshman’s wages as well as a £10 million fee.

Zinedine Zidane is said to be eager to offload Bale due to the Madrid fans’ displeasure at his performances this season.

His departure will also get part of his wages off the salary bill, which could help the La Liga giants bring in much-needed new players.

However, it’s difficult to see a move for Bale happening – even part of his wages could prove too expensive for Tottenham.

  1. I’d love him to come back but I’m not sure of the fit. Where would we then play Sonny or would he switch to the right and then Moura would fall away, not to say but his cutting in from the left might unbalance Kane , or it might make Harry an even better no9. Where would Dele then fit in the picture , would he have to be a more defensive midfielder which I’m not sure is his strength, so all very exciting but many unknowns associated with a potential return, and what about his injury record?

  2. There are a number ofnames been shoved about by the media. However Bale, Ndombele, Sessegnon, Grealish are among good choices but sales must happen too. I would sell Wanyama, Aurier, and rather oddly, Trippier and Lloris.
Swap Rose for Sessegnon but keep Davies Buy a decent second choice keeper and upgrade Gazzanaiga.
Buy that Lloyd?? From Bristol City, and if Ndombele and Bale come in, its bye bye Llorente, Skipp, Wanyama and Trippier, Jansenn too.

It would be a strong squad but we will not need a replacement for Eriksen or Alderweireld as they should get a better deal.
