A return to Tottenham for Gareth Bale is a possibility after the Real Madrid forward discussed his future in a two-hour meeting with his agent, according to reports in Spain.

Bale’s future at Real Madrid is uncertain and he has been linked with his former club Spurs a number of times in recent weeks.

Most stories have suggested a loan deal is on cards, with Tottenham paying a £10 million fee and Madrid continuing to pay the majority of his wages.

Bale has three years remaining on his current contract, which is said to be worth close to £600,000 a week.

And now, Spanish outlet and radio station Marca (as relayed by Sport Witness) claims the Welshman has discussed his future with his agent Jonathan Barnett in a two-hour meeting.

It is believed Bale is open to returning to Spurs, although he does not want it to turn into a transfer saga similar to how he left the Londoners in the first place.

Whether Tottenham actually want the 29-year-old back is up for debate. His wages and injury record are obvious stumbling blocks.
