After Tottenham Hotspur’s remarkable comeback against Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals, Kieran Trippier revealed Harry Kane played a vital role with an inspirational team talk at half-time.
But Mauricio Pochettino questioned Trippier’s version of the events, suggesting it was actually club captain Hugo Lloris who rallied the troops at the break.
However, Danny Rose has now confirmed Trippier wasn’t misremembering. Perhaps Pochettino was in the loo at the time…
Speaking to talkSPORT, Rose relayed exactly what Kane said to his teammates, adding: “When Harry goes, he goes.”
It’s a fascinating listen. Watch the video below to hear it.
