Danny Rose has said Tottenham Hotspur must listen to Mauricio Pochettino and begin a new chapter in order to continue being successful.
Spurs are preparing for one of the biggest games in their history as they take on Liverpool in the Champions League final in two weeks time.
Pochettino has stoked speculation about his future in the build-dup to the match, suggesting he could end a chapter by leaving Tottenham if they beat Liverpool.
The Argentinian has hinted investment is needed in the transfer market if Spurs are to reach the next level, even if they win the Champions League having not signed anyone for 18 months.
But Rose highlighted Pochettino’s importance in a recent interview with talkSPORT.
“Listen to the manager,” the left-back said (via the Mail) when asked what Tottenham must do to keep moving forward.
“I fully agree with what he says. He said recently what the next chapter of the club is and I agree with him.
“Its safe to say that not many could operate in the circumstances with no stadium and not signing anybody.
“Spurs are a part of the big six and we have a different way of working and there aren’t many managers that would bring in Champions League football three or four years in a row while bringing players through and getting into the England squad. Hopefully we can give him what he wants.”
Rose himself has been linked with an exit this summer, but he remains a favourite of Pochettino’s and is likely to start in Madrid on June 1st.
