Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier has agreed personal terms with Napoli ahead of a summer transfer, according to reports in Italy.

Tripper has been heavily linked with Napoli for the last few weeks after a difficult season with Spurs.

The former Burnley man has struggled to rediscover his best form following an impressive World Cup campaign with England last summer.

He has remained Mauricio Pochettino’s first-choice right-back, but it has been suggested Tottenham are willing to let him go before the start of next season.

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has admitted Trippier is a player the Italians are tracking, while Trippier’s wife is said to have visited Naples to look at houses and schools for the couple’s children.

And now, Italian outlet Il Mattino (as relayed by the Daily Mail) claims Trippier has agreed personal terms with Napoli.

In that case, all that is left is for Napoli and Spurs to agree a fee, but the Londoners will apparently only sell the 28-year-old if a decent bid comes in.

This one won’t be wrapped up any time soon, and there is still a possibility Trippier will stay at Tottenham if a suitable replacement can’t be found.
