Mauricio Pochettino gave Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele a tour of Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground on Wednesday ahead of the Frenchman’s imminent transfer, according to the Sun.
We recently relayed reports suggesting Ndombele is set to be announced as a Spurs player in the coming days after a club record deal was agreed with Lyon.
And the Sun claims the 22-year-old was shown around the club’s facilities by Pochettino as Spurs prepare to confirm their first signing since January 2018.
It now seems almost certain that Tottenham will complete a deal for Ndombele.
Of course, the transfer isn’t done until it is announced by both Spurs and Lyon, but there are now so many outlets claiming it will happen there is little need to worry.
Ndombele will be Tottenham’s first new addition since Lucas Moura’s arrival from Paris Saint-Germain 18 months ago.
That said, Spurs could confirm a deal for Leeds United starlet Jack Clarke before Ndombele’s transfer is announced.
Clarke was also reportedly in London on Wednesday to undergo a medical with the Londoners.
It looks like it could be a busy few days for Tottenham.
