Jack Clarke will rejoin Leeds United on loan once his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur is confirmed, according to reliable journalist Phil Hay.

Earlier this week, we relayed reports suggesting Spurs will announce the signing of Clarke on Monday after the teenager passed his medical with the club.

There has been some debate as to whether Clarke will fight for a place in Tottenham’s first team next season or go back to his boyhood club on loan for another year.

And now, Phil Hay claims a loan will indeed happen after Clarke signs for Spurs on Monday.

Hay recently left the Yorkshire Evening Post and is always accurate when it comes to anything Leeds-related.

With that in mind, there is a good chance what he’s reporting is true – Clarke will spend the 2019/20 season on loan at Leeds.

It’s probably a good thing for all parties. The 18-year-old would struggle for minutes next term at Spurs given the amount of talent the Londoners possess in attack.

Another year working under Mauricio Pochettino’s mentor, Marcelo Bielsa, will aid Clarke’s development.
