Barcelona would prefer to sell Brazilian winger Malcom to Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal than Borussia Dortmund, according to reports in Spain.
Malcom was heavily linked with Spurs in the January 2018 transfer window, but the Londoners ended up signing Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain instead.
Lucas somehow remains Tottenham’s most recent signing but the club is reportedly close sealing deals for Leeds United teenager Jack Clarke and Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
And if Spanish outlet AS is to be believed, Spurs may have been offered the opportunity to revive their interest in Malcom.
AS claims Dortmund are keen on the 22-year-old but Barcelona would prefer to see him join a Premier League outfit – Tottenham and Arsenal are the clubs name-checked in the article.
With Clarke set to re-join Leeds on loan for the 2019/20 season, there is a chance Mauricio Pochettino will target a winger in the coming weeks.
But while Malcom would be a useful addition to the squad, he may be put off by the idea of spending a lot of time on the bench.
Lucas and Son Heung-min would surely be ahead of him in the pecking order when Pochettino opts for a formation with wide attackers.
