Tottenham’s Under-23s will find out their opponents in the group stage of the EFL Trophy on Friday.
The draw for the competition, officially known as the Checkatrade Trophy, will take place live on talkSPORT on the Jim White Show at 12.30pm.
Spurs, managed by Wayne Burnett, join a host of Premier League clubs in accepting their participation, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool, although top-flight clubs cannot meet until round 2.
Burnett’s side will be hoping to build off their success in last seasons competition, having finished second in their group before they were knocked out in the second round by League One side Oxford.
Jack Roles and Troy Parrott, who featured heavily in last seasons EFL Trophy, joined a host of other development players in training with the first-team at Hotspur Way today as Mauricio Pochettino looks to boost the numbers before the rest of his squad return to pre-season training after their international commitments.
