Tottenham are expecting Christian Eriksen back at Hotspur Way for pre-season training this week despite growing uncertainty over the Danish internationals future, according to the Daily Mail.
Eriksen recently admitted that he wanted a new challenge after six years at Spurs – with Real Madrid, Juventus and even Manchester United chasing the signature of the attacking midfielder, who scored eight goals and added 12 assists in the Premier League last season.
His future in North London could depend on that of Paul Pogba, who is also set to leave Old Trafford this summer, but Tottenham are expecting Eriksen to return to their Enfield training base at the end of this week and is also expected to fly out to Asia for the clubs pre-season tour, which departs on Wednesday.
Elsewhere, a host of Spurs’ other internationals – including Harry Kane – will report back to Hotspur Way as Mauricio Pochettino’s side continue their preparations for the new campaign.
