Tottenham have the option of including Erik Lamela in an offer for Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso, according to the Sun.
Reports have emerged suggesting Spurs are set to revive their interest in Lo Celso, whose name was first raised last month as a possible target.
The Mirror claims Betis value Lo Celso at £70 million, while the Sun believes the La Liga club is asking for closer to £60 million.
The Sun goes on to say Tottenham are unwilling to match Betis’ asking price, but the Londoners could offer a player in part-exchange to reduce the fee.
That player is said to be Erik Lamela, who is about to enter his seventh season with Spurs after joining the club from Roma in the summer of 2013.
Lamela has always been a divisive figure among Tottenham fans, but even his supporters would probably be happy for him to leave if it meant Lo Celso coming in.
Betis already look set to sign a replacement for the 23-year-old with Lyon captain Nabil Fekir expected to make the move to Spain.
With that in mind, they may not be desperate for an attacking midfielder like Lamela in exchange for Lo Celso.
