Sunday turned out to be special day for two of Tottenham’s biggest names. Harry Kane scored a wonder goal to beat Juventus in stoppage time while record signing Tanguy Ndombele provided an assist on his debut.

But the 3-2 victory was an even bigger deal for two lesser known players. Youngsters Japhet Tanganga and Troy Parrott made their first appearances for the club and impressed in Singapore.

Parrott showcased his striker’s instinct with a low shot that was saved by Gianluigi Buffon before Erik Lamela tapped in the rebound to put Spurs 1-0 up. The Irishman looked sharp and keen to get in behind whenever possible.

Tangana, a centre-back, saw much of the more than Parrott as Tottenham looked to play it out from the back. He looked comfortable in possession and composed defensively.
