Tottenham are currently playing their second International Champions Cup match against Manchester United in Shanghai.

Following on from their victory over Juventus on Sunday, Spurs are looking to continue their 100 per cent record in the inaugural pre-season tournament.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino handed a first to record-signing Tanguy Ndombele, whilst Harry Kane returned to the starting XI and partnered teenager Troy Parrott up front for the Lilywhites.

But despite a host of other senior players named in the stating line-up, Spurs find themselves trailing 1-0 at the break thanks to Anthony Martial’s 21st minute strike.

The French winger gave Spurs an early warning when he struck the post before putting United ahead just 17 minutes later. And it’s a moment that Paulo Gazzaniga won’t look back on with fond memories as the Argentine should have done better.

The Tottenham goalkeeper – deputising for Hugo Lloris, who returned to the UK due to illness – was beaten too easily at his near-post, doing his chances of becoming Spurs’ number one next season no favours.
