Josh Onomah seems like the forgotten man at Tottenham, but the England Under-21 international’s stay at the club could finally be over.
Onomah has not playing for Spurs since appearing as a late substitute in a Premier League victory over Watford in April 2017 – and has spent the previous two seasons on loan at Championship sides Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.
The 22-year-old has made 32 appearances under Mauricio Pochettino, but with the likes of Heung Min Son, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli at the Argentine’s disposal, Onomah’s opportunities look limited.
And with Tottenham closing in on a move for Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon, Onomah could be part of the deal with him making the a permanent switch to the West London side.
Whilst the rest of the Spurs squad are preparing for the Audi Cup in Germany this week, the attacking midfielder was spotted at Craven Cottage for Whites’ 1-0 defeat at West Ham in pre-season, increasing the speculation around Onomah’s Tottenham future.
