Troy Parrott has been huge strides over the past month – and the teenager is already looking towards the future after winning the Audi Cup.

The 17-year-old was a second-half substitute in Tottenham’s semi-final win against Real Madrid on Tuesday, but was an unused substitute in their penalty shoot-out victory over hosts Bayern Munich 24 hours later as Spurs took the honours in the annual pre-season tournament in Germany.

But after missing out against the Bundelisga champions, Parrott could make his first appearance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Spurs’ last friendly of the summer against Inter Milan on Sunday.

Parrott has enjoyed a unimaginable few weeks with the senior side, making his debut and claiming an assist against Juventus, whilst also testing himself against the likes of Manchester United and Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Not bad for someone who was meant to be playing for the Republic of Ireland at the European Under-19 Championships this summer.

And after lifting the Audi Cup in the Allianz Arena last night, Parrott already has his mind on winning more silverware, posting on Instagram ‘first cup with this amazing club.’
