Mauricio Pochettino has given his first Premier League press conference of the season ahead of Tottenham’s meeting with Aston Villa at the new stadium on Saturday.
The Spurs manager revealed he is “very happy” with his squad after the club brought in four new signings over the summer, including two on deadline day: Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon.
He went on to suggest the Premier League should return to closing the transfer window at the same time as the rest of Europe to prevent the trouble it has caused around players’ futures – Tottenham have been affected by this in the cases of Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld.
