Real Madrid remain interested in signing Christian Eriksen – with the Spanish giants set to make a last-ditch £60million offer to try and convince the Danish midfielder to swap the Premier League for La Liga.
Eriksen, who has been linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ever since his comments about wanting a new challenge just days after Spurs’ Champions League final defeat to Liverpool, has just less than 12 months on his current contract and if he stays in London beyond the closure of the European transfer window on 2 September he would be available on a free transfer next summer.
However, Eriksen’s attitude has not changed throughout this saga and was rewarded for his excellent performance against Aston Villa last weekend with a start against Manchester City on Saturday, although he was unable to repeat his second-half heroics at the Etihad.
But The Sun are reporting that Madrid will come again and force Daniel Levy to cash in on the Eriksen to prevent the midfield man from leaving for nothing in 2020.
What fucking excellent performance against Villa? Where was he against Man City? MIA yet again.
