Kieran Trippier played a key role in Atletico Madrid’s winning goal against Leganes on Sunday.
The right-back, who made a surprise move to the Spanish capital from Tottenham last month, has made a fine start to life at his new club.
On his La Liga debut against Getafe, Trippier produced a perfect cross for Alvaro Morata to score the only goal.
And against Leganes on Sunday, he started the move that led to Atletico’s winner, scored by Vitolo. Watch below.
To make things worse for Spurs fans, many of whom derided Trippier’s displays last term, Kyle Walker-Peters put in a 4 out of 10 performance against Newcastle at the weekend – check out our full player ratings here.
Salida limpia de Trippier, corrida de João por banda derecha pegado a la raya, asistencia y exquisita definición de Vitolo.
