Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are still interested in signing Christian Eriksen, according to the Mirror, despite suggestions time is running out for the Dane to secure a move away from Tottenham.

Pochettino has revealed Eriksen will remain at Spurs unless he seals a transfer on Saturday. There will apparently be no time for him to agree a move on Sunday – when Tottenham face Arsenal in the north London derby – or Monday, which is the transfer deadline.

But the Mirror claims Real Madrid are still eager to sign Eriksen as an alternative to Neymar, who appears to be staying at PSG. The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a return to Barcelona all summer, while Real have also allegedly made attempts to lure him back to La Liga.

The Mirror also believes PSG see Eriksen – who Spurs value at £100 million – as a potential replacement for Neymar, but realistically it seems both players may be forced to stay where they are for the time being.

Of course, both Real and PSG will be able to speak to Eriksen about signing a pre-contract agreement in January, so Tottenham may look to cash in on the 27-year-old by attempting to sell him in the winter transfer window. Only time will tell.
