Tanguy Ndombele has marked an impressive start to his Tottenham career by winning the club’s Goal of the Month award for August.

The Frenchman, who is already popular following his arrival from from Lyon for a record fee in the summer, found the net on his debut with a brilliant curling effort in the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa.

Not only was it a great goal, it was also crucial, putting Spurs on level terms before Harry Kane completed the comeback with a late double. Watch below.

Ndombele’s strike edged out competition from Lucas Moura’s header against Manchester City and a Troy Parrott goal for the Under-23s.
