Tottenham’s line-up for Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace has been announced, with Mauricio Pochettino making just one change to the team that drew at Arsenal a fortnight ago.

Serge Aurier has come in for Davinson Sanchez at right-back. The Colombian is sidelined with an ankle problem, while Aurier has fully recovered from a wrist injury to make his first start of the season.
Some may be surprised to see Erik Lamela keep his place in the side. Lucas Moura is fully fit and Dele Alli is available again, so why has Pochettino kept faith in Lamela?
The 27-year-old scored against Manchester City in the second game of the season and was an important figure as Spurs troubled Arsenal on the counter-attack last time out.
However, he may not be as useful in a home match against a team that is likely to sit deep. If the result isn’t a positive one, question might be asked about Pochettino’s team selection – hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Pochettino has stuck with Lamela because he’s one of his favourites, a fellow Argentinian who’s now in his seventh season at Spurs, has done next to nothing when he hasn’t been injured, and was given an improved contract a few months ago because he’s been such a great buy, £30 million well-spent NOT!!
Lamela made Kanes winning goal against Villa from pressing Grealish, he scored and assisted against City, had to play without Eriksen against Newcastle, and he set up Eriksen’s goal to put us 1-0 up away to the goons. You dummies don’t half leave out important points when expressing your foolish opinions.
Lemella is having a good season so far……….lay off him!
