An unnamed Tottenham player has expressed his boredom at Mauricio Pochettino’s methods, according to the Athletic.
Spurs’ disjointed start to the season reached a new low when they crashed out of the Carabao Cup against League Two side Colchester United on Tuesday night, leading to suggestions Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure at the club could be gradually coming to an end.
The squad has somewhat stagnated this term despite the arrivals of Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon. Ndombele is slowly settling but Lo Celso is out with a hip injury and Sessegnon is yet to play at all because of a hamstring problem.
All of which has resulted in Pochettino using players he apparently wanted to ship out in the summer, including Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Christian Eriksen. Meanwhile, Jan Vertonghen is back in the fold despite uncertainty over his contract and his relationship with Pochettino.
But despite those players being trusted to play by the Tottenham boss, it seems there is tension in the dressing room. The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke, who has becoming one of the most reliable sources of Spurs news, claims a long-serving player has complained about the “same old messages and same old training sessions” given by Pochettino.
The player is not named, and it would perhaps be foolish to hazard a guess as to who it is, but it’s certainly an interesting development. We recommend reading the entire insightful piece on the Athletic.
If you’the writern of the article believe that why no names – it makes you think that this is “fake news”
That is true. After six years the coach has nothing new to offer the players. This is made worse by failing to win trophies. It’s time for Poch to leave before his CV is tainted.
Probably from a player who is not getting picked – fake news !!
Too much speculation about what’s happening.
Time for management & players to remember they are part of one the great clubs in Europe if not the world. Just concentrate on getting us back to winning ways.
Fuk off fake shit
How do you know?, you’re Drunk! language is proof of that no need for that because it’s Player Power that is causing the results and Spurs WILL LOSE AGAIN and another poor performance and another loss and another bad performance the pattern has strrated to develop Poch will Definitely Be Sacked that’s obvious and Plain to see because the players have already conspired and voted just by playing below the standard of a very poor team if you think it’s fake news then ask Mourinho Souness Shearer Moyes Keane etc
You are all off your nut. As a Gooner I assure you Mauricio Pocchetino is tactically the equal of Jürgen Kloop and Pep Guardiola. He is ever-reputed to have been given strategic freedom by Daniel Levy to plan future personnel moves, but every year that is demonstrated to have been untrue.
??????????????? one the greatest in Europe or the world I needed a good laugh today thank you
Nothing new?? Champions league final last season. Fresh talent coming through. Get real. Spurs are now in a position to beat the pl best teams to players signiture. When so called sources won’t print their names then I put very little weight in its integrity
I agree with Sayzey…..proper made my day!! Thanks for the giggle! Tottenham are you proving to everyone that you’re weren’t ever as good as you thought you were! Not saying you aren’t a decent team, but when the pressure is on, and it’s time to grind it out, you always come up wanting! The great teams ALWAYS manage to make a result out of nothing! Spurs were always punching above their weight! Sorry!
Poch is clearly one of the best young managers in the world, he’s in the midst of trying to change a lazy culture that’s existed at Spurs for many years, similar to the job that Sir Alex had to do when he got to Man Utd….Sir Alex had the benefit of a golden generation of youngsters, the likes of which we’ll never see again. Modern day players are even more selfish and spoiled than ever, we have a chance to really compete with the top 2….let’s not blow it collectively guys by getting caught up in bullshit fake news and listening to idiot’s who don’t understand the game….Spurs need to pay higher wages to secure top players that perform consistently….they want parity with their peers…players likr Walker turning up at international games with expensive gear, cars and social media portraying higher living standards creates envy and greed, unsettles these brats…this is part of our problem….Poch has a tough job, don’t lose sight of reality children!!!
