According to Football Insider, Mauricio Pochettino is set to make ‘major changes’ to his Tottenham starting line-up after the international break.

Spurs will have had two weeks to recover from the woeful 3-0 defeat at Brighton when they face Watford at home next weekend. But regardless of fitness levels, Pochettino will be keen to change his personnel to get back to winning ways.

Football Insider claims the Tottenham boss wants to make Juan Foyth, Davinson Sanchez, Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso a key part of his team once they are all fit and available.

Foyth and Sanchez should be ready to start against Watford, so there is a chance the duo will replace Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld. Alternatively, Foyth could play on the right, meaning one of the Belgians will stay in the team.

Alderweireld looked shakier than Vertonghen against Brighton and is more likely to leave in January, so we could see a centre-back partnership of Sanchez and Vertonghen.

Sessegnon might finally be fit enough to make his debut, but Lo Celso isn’t expected to return to training until the end of the month. Meanwhile, Pochettino may look to give Dele Alli a run of games to build momentum while Christian Eriksen continues to misfire.

  1. Mours Moura Moura why o why does he not start every game. the trio in the middle just just not work that is part of our problem, sissoko and Tanguy too similar and winks average at best

  2. My pick would be Foyth on right wing as I do believe he plays better offensively than defensively, kwp right back, vertonghen and sanchez should swap sides, Lamela sub in for alli in sixtieth and moura to come on as sub in sixtieth minute.
