Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Michel Vorm on a contract until the end of the season.
Earlier today we relayed reports suggesting Spurs had entered talks with the goalkeeper, who left the club in June when his contract expired. And only a matter of hours later, the Londoners confirmed Vorm’s return.

The 35-year-old is unlikely to play unless Paulo Gazzaniga is unavailable for whatever reason. Gazzaniga became Hugo Lloris’ deputy last season and came on for the captain against Brighton.
Lloris will be sidelined for the rest of the year with a dislocated elbow, which is why Tottenham have brought Vorm back to provide cover for Gazzaniga. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Alfie Whiteman will return to being the squad’s third-choice goalkeeper for the time being.
For much of his previous stint at Spurs, Vorm was a divisive figure among the supporters. Good with his feet but lacking in world-class ability, the Dutchman never threatened Lloris’ place between the sticks, but he was always a capable stand-in.
It’s safe to say Tottenham fans aren’t exactly thrilled by the deal, though there were some positive responses. Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter.
