Christian Eriksen is a doubt for Tottenham’s Premier League clash against Watford on Saturday after picking a knock playing for Denmark.

The 27-year-old played 90 minutes and came through Denmark’s Euro 2020 qualifier victory over Switzerland on Saturday unscathed, but was taken off at half-time three days later in their 4-0 friendly win over minnows Luxembourg.

Eriksen was pictured with the rest of his Spurs team-mates at Hotspur Way yesterday and seemed to have returned without problem, but Tottenham revealed that the reason he was substituted in Aalborg was because of a dead leg he picked up in the first-half of that game.

As a result, Eriksen will now be assessed ahead of the visit of the Hornets.
Prior to Mauricio Pochettino’s pre-match press conference, Tottenham provided an full injury update – with Hugo Lloris (elbow), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) and Giovani Lo Celso (hip) all unavailable, although the latter two have returned to training following their injuries.
