Tottenham have just one injury absentee for Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Liverpool – and Spurs fans can’t quite believe it.

Hugo Lloris is the only player who will miss the trip to Anfield. The captain has been ruled out until the new year with a dislocated elbow. But Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon have now fully recovered from hip and hamstring problems and could be in the squad this weekend.

Lo Celso came off the bench against Red Star on Wednesday night to gain a little bit of match fitness. The Argentinian is yet to start since arriving from Real Betis in the summer, and it’s unlikely he will be thrown into the line-up for arguably the most difficult match of the Tottenham’s season so far.

Sessegnon hasn’t played a single minute of football since joining from Fulham, so he may not even be on the bench. But it’s great to know he and Lo Celso are – hopefully – over the worst of their injury troubles.

Spurs posted their customary injury update on Twitter and the supporters reacted with surprise at the lack of absentees. Some wished Lloris a speed recovery, while others expressed their excitement to see Lo Celso and Sessegnon in the team soon.
