Serge Aurier hasn’t travelled to Belgrade for Tottenham’s Champions League game against Red Star tomorrow.
The defender didn’t feature in the short (below) that Spurs released on their social media accounts earlier today and Mauricio Pochettino confirmed the news during his pre-match press conference ahead of the game tomorrow evening.

Despite his poor form, which has included him being sent off against Southampton, conceding a penalty against Liverpool last month and a horror show against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Pochettino has continued to pick the Ivory Coast defender, much to the annoyance of fans.
But his absence here surely opens the door for the patiently waiting Juan Foyth, whose has started more games for Argentina than Tottenham this season – with his only for Spurs coming in the Carabao Cup 3rd Round humiliation at the hands of Colchester United back in September.
Foyth was a late substitute at Everton on Sunday and is the only recognised right-back in the travelling party to the Serbian capital and is surely a certainty to start the game.
