Jose Mourinho picked up a victory in his first as Tottenham manager with a 3-2 win over West Ham United on Saturday.
Goals from Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura put Spurs 2-0 up before the break.
Harry Kane added a third and the visitors managed to stave off West Ham’s late comeback.
Here’s how every Spurs player rated on the day.
Paulo Gazzaniga, 6 – Could do little about the goals. Didn’t have much else to do.
Serge Aurier, 6 – Brilliant cross for Kane’s goal but shaky at the back. Nothing new.
Davinson Sanchez, 7 – Loads of crucial blocks and a promising overall performance.
Toby Alderweireld, 6 – Perhaps beaten too easily for Antonio’s goal but generally fine.
Ben Davies, 7 – Some useful and progressive forward passing. Tired in the second half and went off injured.
Eric Dier, 5 – Grew into the game after a difficult start with too many misplaced passes.
Harry Winks, 7 – Got Spurs going in midfield. Perhaps could have offered more protection late on.
Lucas Moura, 7 – Missed a sitter but scored the vital second goal before half-time.
Dele Alli, 9 – He’s back. An excellent creative performance. Looked sharp and played his part superbly.
Heung-Min Son, 9 – A goal and assist in an electric display. Will be a key player under Mourinho.
Harry Kane, 6 – A fine headed goal was dampened by a performance that was a bit all over the place, but he showed plenty of fight.
Substitutes
Danny Rose, N/A – Came on for Davies and barely touched the ball.
Christian Eriksen, N/A – Wasn’t involved much.
Moussa Sissoko, N/A – Bit of a rash cameo.
