It’s safe to say that Serge Aurier has hardly been a popular figure in north London since making the switch from PSG back in August 2017 – but Tottenham fans are slowly warming to the right-back since the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
Aurier was impressive at West Ham on Saturday – which included an excellent assist for Harry Kane – but the Ivory Coast defender took his performance up a notch against Olympiacos, setting up Tottenham’s first of the evening for Dele Alli before completing the comeback with a stunning second-half volley in front of a jubilant Park Lane.
And those fans took to Twitter to rave over the 26-year-old, who has produced two fine showings in the past four days to help Spurs secure two much-needed victories.
You can see some of the best responses in the tweets below, which includes one fan who said “Mourinho has turned him into Dani Alves.”
What are your current thoughts on the Aurier situation?
