Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko were the match-winners as Tottenham edged past Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
But immediately after the final whistle, Jan Vertonghen was hailed as a hero for his incredible last-ditch tackle.
Bournemouth had fought back with two late goals, and they very nearly made it 3-3 in the last minute of stoppage time.
Vertonghen had other ideas. The Belgian stretched and denied Callum Wilson the chance to equalise with a crucial intervention.
Watching the video, however, it’s clear Serge Aurier also deserves credit. The Ivorian rushed in and controlled the ball, preventing Harry Wilson from latching onto the ball and potentially completing his hat-trick.
