Harry Kane will be rested for Tottenham’s final Champions League group stage match against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old, who has featured in all but two of Spurs first-team games this season, plus six for England, will be given a well-deserved rest – with Tottenham already assured of second place in Group B, whilst the German champions have already guaranteed top-spot after winning all of their five matches, including that 7-2 victory in London back in October.

Kane continued his excellent goalscoring form since the arrival of Jose Mourinho as Spurs returned to winning ways against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.

17-year-old Troy Parrott made his Premier League debut as a late substitute in that game and the Tottenham Head Coach was asked whether the teenager will play against Munich.

He didn’t confirm whether the youngster will feature, but quickly confirmed Kane wouldn’t.

He told Football.London: “Will he [Troy Parrott] play against Bayern Munich? I don’t know. All I can say is Harry Kane won’t. Who plays, we’ll see.”
